QuietPDF

Privacy Policy

QuietPDF keeps PDF processing on your Android device. This policy explains what the app accesses, what stays local, and what limited data may be processed by advertising services.

Effective and last updated: July 22, 2026
The short version: QuietPDF does not upload your PDFs, document contents, scans, passwords, signatures, filenames, or form data to QuietPDF servers. Core PDF tools work locally. The app uses Google advertising services, which may process limited device, network, interaction, and diagnostic data as described below.

1. Scope and developer

This Privacy Policy applies to QuietPDF: Offline PDF Tools (package name com.rameshta.quietpdf), referred to as “QuietPDF,” “the app,” “we,” or “us.” QuietPDF is developed and published by Naimish Gupta.

QuietPDF does not require an account, login, or subscription account. We do not operate a server that receives your documents or document metadata.

2. Documents and local processing

PDF reading, scanning, image-to-PDF creation, merging, splitting, page organization, compression, password operations, watermarking, image extraction, form filling, signing, and annotation are performed locally on your device.

QuietPDF does not send the following to QuietPDF or advertising servers:

  • PDF or image contents, extracted text, scans, or page previews;
  • document filenames, document URIs, raw file paths, or PDF metadata;
  • passwords, form values, signatures, annotations, or watermark text; or
  • the output files created by QuietPDF.

Files remain in locations you select through Android or in app-controlled temporary storage while an operation is being completed. Output files remain under your control until you delete them.

3. Information stored locally

To provide app features, QuietPDF may store the following information in private app preferences on your device:

Local informationPurposeShared off device?
Recent and favorite document URI, display name, page count, and timestamps Recents, favorites, and file navigation No
Reading position and bookmarked page numbers, keyed by a hash of the document URI Resume reading and bookmarks No
Completed operation type and time Local history No
Favorite tool selections Home-screen personalization No
Selected app language Display QuietPDF in the language you choose No
Session, successful-workflow, and advertisement timing counters Limit advertisement frequency and avoid disruptive placement No
Consent and privacy choices managed by Google UMP Determine whether advertising requests are permitted May be processed by Google

QuietPDF does not include a separate analytics service or crash-reporting service. Android, Google Play, or your device manufacturer may independently provide platform-level services under their own terms and privacy policies.

4. Device permissions and access

Camera

Camera access is requested only when you use the document scanner. Captured images are used to preview, correct, enhance, and create PDFs locally. QuietPDF does not upload camera images. You can deny or revoke camera permission in Android Settings; non-camera PDF tools will remain available.

Internet and network state

Internet and network-state access are used for Google consent and advertising services. Core PDF processing does not require an internet connection.

Files selected through Android

QuietPDF uses Android’s system file and document interfaces to let you choose input and output locations. It does not request broad access to all files on your device. Access is limited to files and locations you select or permissions Android grants for the requested operation.

5. Advertising and consent

QuietPDF uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP). AdMob may display banner, native, interstitial, and app-open advertisements. The native ad placement appears within the Home screen and is clearly identified as advertising. QuietPDF does not ask users to provide an age or birth date and does not force an age-restricted advertising treatment. UMP requests or presents applicable privacy choices before QuietPDF initializes and requests ads. The ads Google serves may depend on the consent choices, region, device settings, and advertising configuration that apply to the user. Advertising failure or refusal does not block core PDF functionality.

According to Google’s current Mobile Ads SDK disclosure, the SDK may automatically collect and share the following for advertising, analytics, and fraud-prevention purposes:

  • IP address, which may be used to estimate general location;
  • user product interactions, such as app launches, taps, and ad interactions;
  • diagnostic and performance information; and
  • device and account identifiers, including the Android advertising ID and app set ID where available.

Google states that this SDK data is encrypted in transit. The data Google receives is governed by Google’s policies and your consent or device settings. QuietPDF does not provide document contents, filenames, document metadata, passwords, signatures, or form data to the advertising SDK.

6. User-directed sharing and third parties

When you choose Share, QuietPDF sends the selected file or prepared image only to Android’s Sharesheet and the destination app you choose. That destination may copy, upload, retain, or process the file under its own privacy policy. QuietPDF cannot control a third-party app after you intentionally share content with it.

Temporary share files are placed in private cache storage and exposed through a restricted Android content URI with temporary read permission. QuietPDF cleans its prepared extracted- image sharing cache as part of the sharing workflow.

7. Retention and deletion

  • Document outputs remain where you saved them until you delete them.
  • Recents, favorites, bookmarks, and history remain locally until you remove them, clear the relevant list, clear the app’s storage, or uninstall QuietPDF.
  • Temporary processing and sharing files are removed when no longer required where the workflow supports cleanup. Android may also clear cache storage.
  • QuietPDF disables Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer for its private files, databases, and preferences.

Because QuietPDF has no user accounts and does not upload document data to QuietPDF servers, there is no remote QuietPDF account record to delete. To erase private app data, use the in-app removal controls where available, Android’s “Clear storage” control, or uninstall the app. These actions do not automatically delete PDF outputs you saved outside private app storage.

8. Security

QuietPDF uses Android app-private storage for preferences and temporary internal files, Android content URIs for file access and sharing, temporary read permissions for shared files, disabled cleartext network traffic, and disabled app backup/device transfer. Core document processing is isolated from the advertising implementation.

No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure. You are responsible for protecting access to your device and for choosing trustworthy destinations when sharing files.

9. Children’s privacy

QuietPDF is intended for users aged 13 and older. It is not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 should not use the app. QuietPDF does not ask for or store a birth date or age group. We do not knowingly collect children’s document contents or operate user accounts. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through a channel controlled by us, contact us using the address below.

10. Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights concerning personal data. QuietPDF provides:

  • local removal and clearing controls for recent files, favorites, bookmarks, and history;
  • Android permission controls for camera access;
  • a Google privacy-options entry point when UMP indicates it is required; and
  • Android advertising-ID controls and Google ad settings.

You may contact us to ask a privacy question or exercise an applicable right. Because we do not maintain QuietPDF accounts or receive your locally stored document data, we may not possess data that can be retrieved or deleted remotely. Requests concerning data processed independently by Google or another app should be directed to that provider.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when QuietPDF’s features, SDKs, legal requirements, or data practices change. We will update the effective date above and publish the revised policy at the same public location. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or store listing where appropriate.
